Who would like some Creme Brulee?

Last weekend, Renee spent some time at my friend and neighbor MariCarmen's house. You see, MariCarmen is an awesome cook, and Renee likes all kinds of baking and making desserts. So even though Renee isn't too much into cooking, and MariCarmen is not Bakerella, their interests DO overlap when it comes to making dessert. A few weeks ago they were talking about different recipes and they decided they wanted to get together  and make Creme Brulee. Last Saturday was the day. Renee had found the perfect recipe and they went shopping for ingredients together. MariCarmen already owns the right dishes for the Creme Brulee and, most importantly, she has one of those handy little torches to give it the final touch.
A few hours later we all got to taste the results..... it was DELICIOUS!!

The two were too busy cooking to take pictures of the process,
 but they did get this shot of MariCarmen's dog, Daisy, who
was the "kitchen supervisor" for the day:

Things must have been going smoothly, since Daisy looks so relaxed.

Here is Renee with the Creme Brulee right after it came out of the oven.

The bowl of sugar is already sitting there as well....ready for the torching...

But first, the kitchen supervisor demanded some attention.

After a good hand washing, they went back to work
and here is the finished, "torched" Creme Brulee.

Time for Renee to try one of them.

Yummy!!!! The Creme Brulee was a success!

MariCarmen, you may borrow Renee anytime to cook us up some more deliciousness :)
